The Alphonse Mucha Reverie 1897 Stained Glass Panel is adapted from an illustration originally designed for the1898 Champenois company calendar. However, its immediate popularity led to its swift publication by the magazine La Plume with the title Reverie (daydream). Mucha's design shows a young woman leafing through a book of designs. Behind her is elaborately decorated circle of flowers and their stems forming a lace-like pattern.

On this glass panel, enamel colors are individually applied to a single sheet of glass which is then kiln fired to permanently fuse the enamels to the glass. The glass panel is then framed with a copper patina metal came for an antique feel. The Alphonse Mucha Reverie 1897 Stained Glass Panel includes both a hanging chain and clear acrylic stand for desk or table display. Dimensions: Ht: 12”. W: 9”.

Alfons Maria Mucha (1860-1939), often known in English and French as Alphonse Mucha, was a Czech Art Nouveau painter and decorative artist. He produced many paintings, illustrations, advertisements and postcards as well as designs for jewelry, carpets, wallpaper and theatre sets. This stained glass panel has been developed in association with The Mucha Foundation, a non-profit charity devoted to preserving and conserving the Mucha Trust Collection.
