In 1923, Frank Lloyd Wright began designing four homes in the Hollywood/Los Angeles area. Wright used a unique method of building construction, weaving decorative blocks of concrete together with reinforced steel rods. It came to be known as the Textile Block System. The Charles Ennis House, also known as "Sijistan", was by far the largest and most imposing of these homes. The counted thread cross stitch kit from Heartland House Designs includes: Evenweave fabric, DMC embroidery floss, Metallic Cord, Graph, Needle, Instructions, and Color Photograph. Stitch Area: 5” x 5”.
