One of the pioners of abstract art, Wassily Kandinsky (1886-1944) created Weiches Hart in 1927. Kandinsky started his professional life as a lawyer, switched to visual arts, but was also an accomplished musician. He named many of his artworks by musical terms. “Weiches Hart” translates as “Soft Hard”, which could equally refer to the angles and circles in the work. Silk Chiffon. Hand rolled hems. Dimensions: 70” x 21” (180cm x 55cm). Dry Clean only.
