This Tiffany Wisteria Cloisonné Blown Glass Ornament borrows the cascading wisteria framing the idyllic View of Oyster Bay (ca. 1908). Louis C. Tiffany (American, 1848–1933) designed this leaded glass window to decorate the Manhattan residence of silk manufacturer William C. Skinner, whose family home in Massachusetts was named Wistariahurst. However, the window's picturesque view assumed an association with Oyster Bay for its similarity to the vistas off the north shore of Long Island, where the Gilded Age visionary had recently built a country estate. Each ornament measures 3" in diameter with a coordinated gold mesh ribbon attached for hanging, and comes in a padded decorative box. Care instructions: clean with soft dry cloth.
