Description
The Louis Sullivan Ornamental Designs Boxed Notecard Assortment illustrates Sullivan’s synthesis of Art Nouveau complexity with geometric elegance. Louis Sullivan (1856–1924) was the preeminent exemplar of Chicago School architecture. He brought to his practice a conviction that ornamentation should arise naturally from a building’s overall design, restating in a large or small way, themes expressed in the structure as a whole. The Louis Sullivan Ornamental Designs Boxed Notecards contains twenty assorted 5” x 7” blank notecards (5 each of 4 designs with envelopes in a decorative box). Published in conjunction with the Chicago Architecture Foundation.
