The Frank Lloyd Wright Max Hoffman Rug Votive is executed in copper and enamel metalwork with a glass insert. The design is adapted from he floating, intersecting circles with square accents that was the carpet design for the living room of the Hoffman home. Although this rug was not executed in 1957 for that home, after his death it was woven for Wright's own living room at Taliesin, Spring Green, Wisconsin.
