The David Wright House Rug is adapted from a carpet in the home designed in 1954 by Frank Lloyd Wright for his son David. Wright and his apprentice Ling Po reworked the design from one of a series of twelve illustrations that Wright created in 1927 for the cover of Liberty Magazine. For this design, “March Balloons,” Wright used one of his favorite geometric shapes, the circle, to create an assemblage of colorful, overlapping balloons. Crafted in hand-tufted New Zealand wool. Made in Thailand. Dimensions: 6′ x 9′ (183 cm x 274 cm). Produced under license with the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, this rug is part of the Signature Series, a group of hand-knotted and hand-tufted carpets created with the highest quality standards. Custom sizes are of course also available. Please contact us for more information.
